How are fibroids diagnosed?

A lot of times when they have heavy bleeding, the patient has heavy bleeding, they’ll get an ultrasound then you find the fibroid. If they’re very large feel a lump, some go to the bathroom a lot because the fibroid is so big it’s pushing on the bladder so they had to go to the bathroom all the time time, some get constipated.

So depending on the symptoms somebody will do a pelvic exam, a GYN and then they’ll end up finding out that they have a fibroid on the ultrasound.
